Mindful Eating Activities for Curious, Confident Kids

If mealtimes feel tense, emotional, or unpredictable because of picky eating, you’re not alone. Many parents worry about how to respond when their child refuses foods, reacts strongly at the table, or seems stuck in a narrow comfort zone.

In this session, parents will explore mindful eating principles and how they apply to children, with a focus on sensory exploration, emotional regulation, and curiosity around food. You’ll learn hands-on activities that help kids engage with food without pressure, manage big feelings at the table, and gradually build comfort with new experiences. This event will also highlights ways to involve children in the kitchen in developmentally appropriate ways that support confidence and independence.
